WANTED : Business Development Specialist

We're looking for a tenacious Business Development Specialist with a passion for lead generation to join our  Business Development and Marketing team. You will be generating leads for RBQM (risk based quality management) opportunities in clinical trials. You will get to work closely with industry experts and some of the best business developers in clinical trials, so this is a brilliant role for learning and career development. 

This role would suit a business development specialist who is keen to learn more about clinical trials and work with an expert team in a niched and fascinating area or risk based quality management.

We would also consider a CRA, Data Manager or other clinical trials specialist who is keen to move into business development and learn from industry experts.

Home based, but able to meet the team at their Cambridge office. South East is preferred but if you can get to Cambridge a few days each month, location is flexible in the UK .

You will work with the marketing and sales team to help organise high value client appointments for the Business Development team. The role will report to the SVP Business Development. 

Key experience you will bring:

  • Business and Market development experience, specifically prospecting in an outbound call environment or an aptitude for making calls to clients or clinical trials experience

  • Met or exceeded targets year on year, target driven

  • Experience selling into the life science industry or a good understanding of RBQM from work experience

  • Experience selling software solutions

  • Proficient in working with Salesforce CRM systems

  • Written and verbal communication skills to align with executive management

  • Flexibility to work with various timezones when required

  • Ability to perform independent territory and account planning/research for clinical trials including pharma, biotech, medical devices

  • Flexibility to support marketing/field sales at events/conferences

  • Personality traits - highly driven, humble, engaging team player
